Wedding Officiant

As an Ordained, Christian Minister, Sandy can perform the wedding ceremony!

Application Requirement: Both parties to a

marriage should appear in person to obtain the license. If one of the

parties is unable to appear, the other party to the marriage must appear in person and present a sworn and notarized affidavit from the other member of the party, prior to the issuance of the license.

Affidavit forms are available in the Register of Deeds Office.

NORTH CAROLINA

MARRIAGE LICENSE LAWS

* Under 18: All applicants, including those not present, must provide

a form of identification.

* Applicants 21 & over may use a drivers license, valid Military I.D,

State I.D, Passport, or certified birth certificate

* Applicants 18 to 20 must present a certified copy of their birth

certificate.

* Applicants 16 and 17 must present a consent form signed by the parent, individual, agency or institution having legal custody or serving as the legal guardian of the underage party.

A certified copy of the birth certificate is also required. The consent form must be notarized.

A marriage license may not be issued to applicants under 14 years of age.

Fee: $60 cash only

Waiting Period: No waiting period - Blood Tests: No test

Marriage ceremonies may be either religious or civil

* A religious ceremony is performed by an ordained minister

* A civil ceremony is conducted by a magistrate, the only civil

officer authorized to perform marriages.

There must be two witnesses at any marriage ceremony, whether it is civil or religious.

As a nondenominational minister who was divinely inspired to serve as an independent officiant to those of all faiths & all lifestyles.

As an ordained minister, I am authorized to perform weddings & other rites of passage in North Carolina, South Carolina & Virginia.

I will travel to your ceremony site. Your site

can be a hall, home, church, park, hotel, yacht, banquet hall, waterfront, etc. I am

compassionate, ethical, & professional. I will work hard with you to ensure that your

wedding will be memorable.

As a traveling minister, all sacraments will be administered at your location & with a valid marriage license. (From the jurisdiction in which the wedding is held.)

Fees for the services requested are as follows:

$150 for Basic ceremony

$250 for Personalized ceremony

$350 for Large Wedding

$25 Travel Fee

(if 30 miles or more outside of Swansboro, NC)

$50 for Rehearsal

A retainer fee of 50% of the cost must be provided at the time of booking to guarantee the wedding date.

The remainder of the payment (including travel fee) will be due on the date of the wedding.

Important: No marriage can be performed without a marriage license.
